Lesson 4 — Combining Transport

How Should Transport Steps Combine?

Transport may happen in one step or in several smaller steps. If the transport is consistent, both routes should lead to the same final state.

Route A — Two Steps (outer) · Route B — One Combined Step (inner)

Two Smaller Steps

1 second
2 seconds

Combined time = t + s = 3 seconds

One Combined Step

3 seconds

Set automatically to the first step plus the second step.

✓ Composition Works

The order of the two connected steps produces the correct combined result.

QM2 Assumption D3

QM2 assumes that transport steps combine consistently. Transport over t followed by transport over s must agree with transport over the combined parameter t+s. Here t is a transport parameter, not yet assumed to be physical time.

Which Routes Should Match?

Select every pair that should end at the same final state.
